Effect | +3 HP/turn when on bench |
Vampires only item. The Blood Vial heals 3 hit points per turn (an additional 2 per turn) on deck while not in battle instead of the usual 1, allows them to heal without threat of attack much faster than normal.
Kongai Card Album Description[]
The extra healing power of the Vial is a great help to Cornelius, Ambrosia, and Vanessa, but Cain actually likes to fight at low hit points and the Marquis probably gains enough health from his innate ability.
Blood Vial on characters[]
This item works great to place on a character you switch in and out often, but much like Hero's Flagon, it comes with the potential risk of your opponent intercepting the user more often (and its effectiveness only improves the longer the user is away from combat). Because of this, the item works well with slower characters that can take some damage, such as Cornelius Constantine. It is generally better than the Healing Salve if a switch out is effective, but otherwise the last effective way to use this item is to simply attack (and Drain if possible) more often.
Vampires[]
- Ambrosia Thorn - One of her items of choice. Can be suitable as a Tomes alternative if used correctly.
- Cain Solomon - Because of his innate ability, this item isn't recommended unless necessary. If you leave him in long enough, the enemy will do you the favor of re-lowering his health.
- Cornelius Constantine - Because this character can deal out a lot of damage (and he can't heal back the damage taken), Blood Vial lets him come back to deal more damage.
- Marquis Le Morte - This item is too redundant on Marquis because of his innate ability. It's better to use Necronomic Tomes or General's Insignia for increased damage.
- Vanessa Voss - Given that she's generally a glass cannon, any HP is better than none if available.
Known Bugs[]
None.
