Dark relates two connected mechanics:

  1. An Attack Type.
  2. A Resistance.

Dark Attack TypeEdit

Dark type moves use unholy or corrupting attacks. Poisoning an enemy or sucking the blood from your opponent are two examples of Dark type attacks.

These moves in the combat window have a purple colour, and have a purple vial icon. Dark Icon

Dark ResistanceEdit

Dark resistance is an indicator to the character's ability to stave off madness and evil energies. The higher a character's dark resistance, the less damage they take from opponent's dark type attacks.

Every character has a set Dark resistance, also known as dark defense, ranging from 0 to 10. A character's dark resistance is shown on the reverse of it's card, or in the top corner of the screen above the active character as shown below.

Dark Resistance is shown by a purple vial icon. Dark Icon

Dark DamageEdit

To work out the damage caused by an attack against an opponent, you can use the following simple formula:

Total damage = ( Dark type attack's damage - Opponent's dark resistance ) x Number of swings in the attack
