Effects[]
- There are two ways of avoiding an attack: the attack can miss, and it can be dodged.
- Dodge works only against physical attacks (Intercept dodges, Sacred Candle and Angelan's Cloak are the few exceptions).
- See more here.
Other Causes of Dodge[]
In some cases, the chances of dodging can be increased by an ability, innate, or item.
- Tafari's Hide - Increase Dodge chance of physical attacks by 30% for 1 turn.
- Angelan D's Cloak - Increase Dodge chance of all attacks by 33% for 1 turn.
- Item Elusive Feather - 25% chance to dodge physical attacks when equipped.
- Item Flash Powder - 40% chance to dodge intercept when equipped.
- Technically the item Sacred Candle has this effect - 50% chance to avoid debuffs when equipped.
- Rumiko's innate - 50% chance to avoid intercepts when switching (stackable w/ FPowder).
- Yoshiro's innate - 10% chance to dodge physical attacks and intercepts (intercept dodging stackable w/ FPowder).
- Popo's innate - 25% chance to dodge physical attacks (stackable with Feather).
- Ranec Vest's innate - 100% dodge when switched in (It doesn't activate if he starts first, as he's already in play). Lasts for one turn.
- Successfully switching out without being intercepted will grant the switcher 100% dodge to all attacks (with a few exceptions).
Factors that affect dodge.[]
- Attacks with the Undodgeable debuff.
- Dark and Light attacks.
- Items that increase the chances of dodging can be disabled or stolen.
- Items Origami Crane and Polished Spyglass will make the users attacks unmissable (but not undodgeable).
- Attacks that affect your opponent with Hit Rate Decrease can still be dodged when it hits.
- Item Navigator's Sextant will counter Intercept dodges.
