Factors affecting Intercept[]
- Cain and Anex's innates affect their intercept damage as well as their attacks, increasing the damage from a successful intercept to 52 damage.
- Vanessa Voss's innate affects her intercept damage, which would make it deal anywhere from 35 to 45 depending on her opponent's dark defense.
- Ubuntu's Rain Dance increases your team's intercept damage by 1.
- Blood Burn reduces intercept damage.
- Higashi has the innate ability to deal 60 damage with an intercept instead of the normal 35.
- Mindreader's Chalice causes successful intercept by the user to deal an additional 15 damage, and restores 100 energy.
- It also has synergy with Higashi's innate, boosting it to 75 damage in addition to the full energy.
- Flash Powder grants the user a 40% chance to take 0 damage when intercepted and lets you get out.
- Ring of Bravery grants the user an additional 3 damage per intercept.
- Even if the intercept fails, 3 damage is still dealt to the opponent regardless of their actions.
- Rumiko and Yoshiro by default have a 50% and 10% chance respectively of avoiding interception when switching out.
- 90% or 50% if either are equipped with Flash Powder.
- Navigator's Sextant has a 50% chance of preventing a switch-out (single use only).
- The Black Book prevents your opponent from switching for one turn when the user attempts to intercept.
