This is just a trivial page which is cool and all that, but obviously contains texts related to Kongai in a superficial and sometimes subjective way.
Character Stats[]
Gameplay Style[]
Characters by appropriate gameplay style, some characters may overlap gameplay styles
All-Rounder[]
Characters that have decent stats, can deal reasonable direct damage on both ranges, but may not specialise in anything particular. They may be more suited as a finisher.
- Higashi, Tafari*+, Zina^+, Cornelius Constantine*, Vanessa Voss^, Gunbjorn and Angelan D*+.
Speedster[]
They may suffer from a lack of durability (usually low HP or no physical), thus range-dancing or switch out frequently to ensure maximum survival. Their energy game is usually great (with the exception of the Marquis and Sadie) since they can alternate at both ranges.
- Rumiko, Amaya*^, Popo+, Darla Cross*, MR-V1N*, Eva Bovary* and Sadie Trudeau^+.
Zoner[]
A middle ground between the Speedsters and the Tanks. They're sometimes only effective at far range, but good stats and energy game compensates for that.
- Andromeda, Phoebe*, Anex, Auger Blackboot*, Balthazar Bomb-Britches^ and Gorbax^.
Rushdown[]
Similar middle ground like a Zoner, but better at close range, and usually a lot more fragile, like Speedsters.
- Yoshiro, Ranec Vest, Cain Solomon, Marquis le Morte*, Bestor^, Rathbone*^ and IBO-K9.
Tank[]
Good durability and great at dealing damage, but bad at far range and/or the energy game. Usually focuses on one range only.
Support[]
Terrible on durability and and even worse at dealing direct damage, but good on buffs or debuffs.
- Juju, Ubuntu, Wei-Shan, B9, Agathe De Gray, Margo Curie and Sophie Merovingian*^+.
Technical[]
Characters marked with a * have a unique mechanic that can heavily influence the game, but doesn't always have the best of stats to make up for their advantage. Some are usually not suitable for newer players.
Bench Swarmers[]
Characters marked with a ^ can deal damage to benched opponents.
Finishers[]
Characters marked with a + are more suited at finishing off weak characters.

Trivia[]
- The factions that were released first are: Martial Artists, Amazons, Villagers and Vampires. The next two factions (pre-v2) are Robots and Witches, and the most recent factions are Knights and Pirates.
- There are only seven characters that can have all three attack types. They are Rumiko, Helene, Popo, Ubuntu, Vanessa Voss, Ranec Vest and IBO-K9.
References to other media[]
- Anex's name is derived from the television show Xena, Warrior Princess, in which the main character is named Xena, the reverse of Anex, and also uses a Chakram.
- Yoshiro's Rising Dragon is a very clear reference to the Street Fighter attack Shoryuken.
- Angelan D's Wave Motion Fist is a reference to the Street Fighter move Hadoken.
- She bears similarities to the T-X (in terms of design) from the Terminator series.
- The Cursed Dabloons is a nod to (and possibly have been inspired by) the Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, which despite the name suggesting, the main plot of the film revolves around cursed coins.
- Ranec Vest is a possible reference to Cervantes, the ghost pirate from the Soul Calibur series, who uses the same weapons shown on Ranec Vest (Ranec Vest is an anagram of Cervantes).
- His Psycho Crusher move is a reference to an attack from Street Fighter, and LeChuck's curse is a reference to Tales of Monkey Island.
- Starbuck shares the same name and job title with another character from Herman Melville's Moby Dick, and may have been named after the latter Said first mate just so happens to work under Captain Ahab.
- It's almost certain that this Starbuck (and especially true for the Starbuck from Moby Dick) has nothing to do with the famous coffee chain store.
- MR-V1N's name is an obvious reference to Marvin, The Paranoid Android from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
- MR-V1N's Forlorn Poetry is the only attack in the game that has two different sound effects.
- B9's name and configuration is an allusion to the famous B-9, Class M-3 series of robots from Lost in Space.
- B9's attacks are also an allusion to the B-9 series' abilities, which included laser beams (fired from its claws), immense strength, and an electricity-spewing weapon dubbed the "electro-force". Similarly, B-9's primary objective was to protect the family it served.
- B9's head region more closely resembles that of Robby the Robot from The Forbidden Planet. Incidentally, both Robby the Robot and the B-9, Class M-3 series were designed by the same person: Robert Kinoshita.
- B9's appearance bear markedly familiar looks to Thursday, a robot found in the Disgaea series of video games. Note that the egg shaped head and arms both look similar.
- Gorbax-Mk 2's build bears similarities to the Enforcement Droid Series 209 (ED-209) from the Robocop series.
- His Death Blossom attack is a reference to the film The Last Starfighter.
- Sophie Merovingan's name and title as a whole contains three references to The Da Vinci Code.
- Sophie being the given name of an important character.
- Merovingian being the name of a royal family mentioned.
- And Symbology being the occupation of the main protagonist Robert Langdon.
Referenced in Legends of Kong by Nerdook[]
- Amaya uses a Flamethrower as her weapon, and the protagonist stated that she's "the maniac who set an entire city on fire to see it burn."
- Higashi uses Brass Knuckles as his weapon, and the protagonist claims that he's "the man with the Iron Fist that can smash through steel!"
- Rumiko uses a Bladed Boomerang as her weapon as opposed to shurikens and darts, and the protagonist stated that she was "rumored to have caused the death of a thousand men!"
- Popo uses a Sawn-off Shotgun as their weapon instead of a Slingshot which fittingly, according to the protagonist "can punch a hole through [their] body!"
- Angelan D uses a Silenced Pistol as her weapon instead of an energy blade, and the protagonist stated that she is "a shadow wrapped in a mystery shrouded in an enigma!"
- Her Cloak ability is retained in the game as "Cloak Trigger", and both her (as a boss character) and the protagonist can use it as part of their skillset.
- Onimaru uses one Katana as his weapon as opposed to two, and the protagonist stated that he was "said to be able to chop a cow in half!"
- Helene uses a Broadsword as her weapon and no shield, and the protagonist said that she has "[the] legendary Aegis Blade that can deflect bullets." (She can actually deflect most projectiles in that game.)
- Andromeda uses a Sniper Rifle as her weapon instead of a bow, and with it the protagonist stated that she "can accurately put a bullet through the middle of a coin from 2 miles away!"
